| Closing time is 12:15pm for Halfmarathon and 14.45pm for Marathon. Runners who do not cross the finish line within the time limit will not be classified. Marathon runners who pass the turning point after 12.00 am have to end the race and finish as Halfmarathon.
Race Number pick up
You will receive your race number at pick up desk after showing your Marathon-Newspaper, which will be mailed to your in mid october 2010. Race Number will not be mailed to the race participants.

Timing
Chips are used for time measurement. All runners of the Lucerne Marathon will receive a coded chip along with their race number which has to be returned after completing the race. It is prohibited to use your own chips. The race number must be worn well visible and unfolded on the front. The participant will be charged a CHF 50.- fine if the chip is not returned
Intermediate time – Kilometer 12.5 (Ziel Schnuppermarathon Horw) – Kilometer 21.0975 (Halfmarathon) – Kilometer 34 (Horw)
Pacemaker
The Lucerne Marathon pacemakers will be easily recognisable and run for finishing times 3:00 h, 3:15 h, 3:30 h, 3:45 h, 4:00 h and 4:30 h
Winners presentation
Presentation will be held at the Museum of Transport – Halfmarathon 11am – Marathon 12.30pm – Team 2.20pm
The ceremony will be only for overall winners.
Prices, Results, Certificate
All paraticipants arriving before closure will receive their finisher present immediately after finishing the race by returning the datachip. The finisher medal must be ordered separately with registration form and can be collected after the race by showing the imprinted voucher on the race number. Each runner can download his personal certificate for free from the official website after the race. The results can be viewed online after 4:00 pm on race day.
Clothes, Changing rooms, Showers
Will be at the “Schulhaus Würzenbach” close to the start- and finish area by the Museum of Transport. The bags of the “Schnupper-Marathon” participants can be left at the “Schulhaus Würzenbach”. They will be transferred to the finish in Horw (changing rooms)
Toilets
Toilets are at the food and medical stations, at start and finish area, the changing rooms and by the entertainment areas
Public Transportation – Special offer
The journey to the Lucerne marathon by public transport is urgently recommended. The organizer does not offer parking lots for private vehicles.
The participation entitles to the purchase of a 50% reduced special ticket from any destination within Switzerland to Lucerne. Half fare card-owners even receive 75% reduction on regular fare. Within Lucerne and surroundings (Passepartout zones 10/20/40), use your starting number for free public transportation on the marathon-day.
Between KKL and Verkehrshaus, a free ship shuttle circulates. Every hour, trains of line S3 “Lucerne–Arth-Goldau” stop at the SBB station “Verkehrshaus”.
At the end of the Schnuppermarathon, either the buses of VBL or the trains bring you back to Verkehrshaus.

Physical condition
With registration the runner declares to be in a fit state of health and has trained to a sufficient standard for the race and is in good physical condition
Medical advisory
With registration you confirm to have read the advisory. Severe exertion during or soon after any kind of fever is extremely dangerous. If you find yourself in this situation you must withdraw. Make sure to dring enough liquid before during and after the race. In case of not feeling well during the race (shortness of breath, dizziness, exhaustion, great pain etc) you should stop running. You can be disqualified from the race by medical orderlies or doctors in the event you are having physical problems.
If you are planning to become much more physically active than you are now, start by answering the seven questions in the form. If you are between the ages of 35 and 60, a check with your doctor is reasonable before you start. If you are over 60years of age you should check with your doctor anyway.
